The Interaction Menu is available in the same way as standard CVT.
Space Key | To open the Interaction Menu, press Spacebar in any desktop mode. See VR Controls for how to open the menu on your VR controller. |
Cavrnus adds Rotate and Scale functions to the Transform sub-menu.
Command | Description |
---|
Rotate (Transform → Move) | Rotation controls are available through the Transform Move mode. While the object is selected and being moved, use the scroll wheel with a modifier key to rotate around a specific axis: X-Rotation - Shift-scroll Y-Rotation - CTL-scroll Z-Rotation - Alt -scroll |
Scale (Transform → Scale) | Scale is in a mode by itself under the Transform Options menu. While the object is selected, use the scroll wheel to scale the object. Use a modifier key to scale along a specific axis: Uniform Scale - Scroll forward to scale up. Scroll backward to scale down X-Scale - Shift-scroll Y-Scale - CTL-scroll Z-Scale - Alt -scroll |
Transform > Reset | Resets all transforms, including rotation and scale. |
Cavrnus stores measurements as persistent objects in the Journal in real-time. When you leave the Space and return, the measurements will still be there.
Command | Description |
---|
Measurement > Add (Standard CVT) | Activates the Measurement Add mode. While this mode is active, a measurement is drawn between each pair of points that you select. |
Measurement > Delete (Standard CVT) | Activates the Measurement Delete mode. While this mode is active, you can select a measurement with your laser pointer to delete it. |
Measurement > To Centimeter (Standard CVT) | Use this option to set your unit of measure to centimeters. |
Measurement > To Meter (Standard CVT) | Use this option to set your unit of measure to meters. |
Measurement > To Imperial
| Use this option to set measurements to US Architectural (feet and inches). |
Cavrnus stores annotations as persistent objects in the Journal in real-time. When you leave the Space, the paint strokes and annotation tags will still be there when you return to it.
Pro-tip: You can use whiteboards from the Cavrnus Content Library as a clean surface to paint markings.
Cavrnus stores snapshots in the Content Library for future reference. Images are immediately available to all users in the Space, and you can place them in the scene by inserting them from the Content Library.
When objects are selected for X-Ray mode, a boolean is stored in the Journal to track its state. This is updated in real-time, and remains persistent within the given Space. The next time you return to that Space, the same objects will still be in X-Ray mode until you change it.
The X-Ray feature can also be applied to objects placed in the scene from the Cavrnus Content Library. Exceptions to this include stream boards, white boards, and PDF boards, which do not change appearance when selected by the X-Ray tool. Use caution when placing objects in the scene while the X-Ray tool is active. This may set the object at the insertion point to the X-Ray material.
Explode states work the same way as standard CVT. However the state of the explode animation remains persistent in a Space. If a user activates the animation to an exploded state, it will persist in that state each time you return to the Space until it is reset. In other Spaces, the explode state may be different, as each Space has it’s own Journal.
The scale tool in the Interaction Menu is synchronized with the scale tool in the standard CVT menu. It includes a slider control for more precise scaling, and works the same way when integrated with Cavrnus.
Bookmarks are stored persistently and distributed to other users in the Space in real-time.
Cut Volumes are stored persistently and distributed to other users in the Space in real-time.
Cavrnus-CVT is configured by default to import local models into the scene using Datasmith. Datasmith files are ported to other users and configuration details are stored in the Journal.
When an interaction mode is active, such as Xray Apply , the name of the mode appears in the lower right of the viewport.
