If you are using a later version of Unreal Editor than the latest build version for the Cavrnus plugin, you may still be able to use the plugin without errors. For example, if you are working on an Unreal Engine 5.3 project, and the latest Cavrnus plugin you have available is built for Unreal Engine 5.0, you may get the following warning when you start up the project.

When this happens, simply click “Continue” and allow Unreal Editor to rebuild the plugin for the later version. This should function without any trouble, and once the build is complete, you will not see that message again.

You may still see this warning message when loading the project again. Unreal Engine displays this warning when it reads the UE version from the .uplugin file. To resolve this, after Unreal Engine rebuilds the plugin for the later version, simply open the CavrnusConnector.uplugin file in any text editor, change the Unreal Engine 5.0 reference to your project’s UE version, and save the file. From this point on, you will not receive any further warnings or messages.

If you do have any issues or further warnings from this process, feel free to reach out directly to us through our Support page or Discord channel.
